What College Football Coaches Are Saying:
Most of the college coaches that are in the running say, there is a lot of football to be played. All of the polls do not matter right now. All we can do is focus on winning football games, week to week. Perform the best we can on the field, then hope our performances allows us to get to the national championship game.

As we've seen through out the years in college football, upsets after upsets have occured. With those upsets happening, the BCS standings have been so messed up. It went down to the very last week of the season and conference championships to determine, who was going to the national championship game.
No matter what the AP, USA Today Coaches, and Harris poll says, the BCS standings is the one that determines the two teams to play in the national championship game. With small schools being left out of the BCS championship game in recent years, that has caused a lot of controversey. With all the controversey hanging over the BCS commitee, everybody is talking about having a division 1 playoff to determine the national champion.
